Having the genes of a demon king, I never intended to be a kept man.

Chapter 1275 The Conference of All Races

Chapter 1275 The Conference of All Races

The next day, early morning.

The sky was not yet fully bright, and the whole world was shrouded in a gray hue.

Kyoto slept in the pre-dawn stillness, the streets deserted except for a few early risers hurrying by, their clothes bundled up. The streetlights still cast a dim, yellowish glow, spreading out in halos in the damp air.

A middle-aged sanitation worker, having just finished his morning cleaning, leaned against a mottled wall, leisurely lit a cigarette, and took a deep drag. White smoke rings slowly rose and dissipated in the cool air.

"How peaceful..." he murmured to himself, gazing at the empty street.

Just then, a sound from the horizon shattered the silence. A colossal black Western dragon, its massive wingspan as large as a commercial airliner, swept low over the city. Pedestrians on the street looked up, staring in disbelief at this incredible sight.

"Fuck, dragon!"

"Wha... what's going on here??"

"Wasn't the All Races Summit already over? Why are there still people from other races coming...?"

"..."

A black dragon slowly descended in front of a magnificent modern building, pulling a rather imposing black carriage behind it.

The tall, aloof figure of the Black Dragon King Gul'thas stepped out of the carriage. He coldly glanced at the human buildings in front of him, his eyes filled with arrogance and indifference.

"Your Majesty, this is it," a black dragon guard beside him whispered. "It seems that the representatives of the other races have also arrived."

Beneath the human structure, besides their black dragon chariots, were many other vehicles belonging to the rulers of various races. These included the beastmen's ruggedly decorated beast chariots, the celestial race's palanquins radiating holy light, and the winged race's celestial chariots, and so on...

Gul'sas merely glanced at it, said nothing, and then walked toward the building with two guards.

Not far away, a coffin-shaped carriage pulled by a blood beast and a luxury car that was entirely black stopped almost at the same time.

Duke Nicholas of the vampire clan and Duke Fenrir of the werewolf stepped out of the car at the same time. Their eyes met in mid-air, and an invisible tension immediately filled the air.

“What a coincidence.” Fenrir gave him a deep look. “It seems that God likes to play jokes, making us two mortal enemies always “coincidentally” meet.”

Nicholas smiled faintly, his gaze sweeping over Fenrir's back: "What, are you representing the werewolf clan again? Your wolf king hasn't shown his face in a long time."

"Isn't your esteemed Vampire King also rumored to be 'old and in poor health,' and we haven't heard from him for a long time?" Fenrir's eyes held a deep gaze. "I've heard that you, the Duke, are now handling all the affairs of the vampire clan, big and small?"

"Hehe... I'm just sharing the burden for our king." Nicholas elegantly adjusted his cuffs.

Fenrir smiled, clearly not believing the explanation.

"So what are your thoughts on this meeting?" Fenrir said leisurely. "I heard this meeting was held to eradicate the Gene Company... I never imagined that the chairman of that Gene Company would be the same person as Sima Qing, the descendant of the Taotie who launched the Beast Wars back then. And you, I've heard that you used to have quite a close relationship with the Gene Company?"

Nicholas remained unfazed: "You've collaborated with gene companies quite a few times before, haven't you?"

"..."

From a window on a high floor of the building, Ye Ge quietly looked down at everything below.

“Representatives from all races have almost all arrived.” Long Ying was standing next to him. She looked at him and said calmly, “Including representatives of races that hold significant shares in the gene company, such as the Zerg Empress Dream Butterfly, the Holy Elf King Leonas, the Sea Clan’s Ji Cangyuan, and the Demon Clan’s Rakshasa, they are all here.”

Night Song's gaze remained calm: "The representatives of other races are unaware that these leaders are members of the Gene Corporation's board of directors."

Long Ying then asked, "Won't they do something bad?"

"It doesn't matter." Ye Ge stroked his chin. "Anyway, it's a good opportunity to see their reaction."

......

Half an hour later, in the conference hall of all races.

The conference hall is enormous and has a truly epic feel.

The towering dome is adorned with murals depicting the history of all races, and the enormous crystal chandeliers gleam like stars. The seating in the circular hall is arranged in a tiered pattern, radiating outwards from the center, with the seating arrangement strictly following the ranking of the various races.

At the very core of the first level, sat representatives of the strongest races among all races: the four Demon Lords of the Demon Race, ranked second among all races—Black Sun, Nether Soul, Ancient Evil, and Flame Princess; Ao Sheng, the Crimson Dragon King of the Eastern Dragon Race, ranked third among all races, along with his two confidants, the Golden Dragon General and Azure Thunder; and Gul'thas, the Black Dragon King of the Western Dragon Race, ranked fourth among all races, along with his two Black Dragon Guards.

Next to her was the fifth-ranked Fallen Angel Clan. The Fallen Angel Queen, Ye Bing, crossed her long, black-stockinged legs with an air of aloofness. Behind her stood Yue You, the Left Guardian, and Hong Ri, the Right Guardian.

The sixth-ranked Evil Nether Clan has fallen on hard times and sent no representative. Of course, even if they did come, they'd only be sitting in a corner by the roadside this time...

Next up is the seventh-ranked Zerg, Dream Butterfly, accompanied by two Zerg generals, her colorful wings trembling slightly.

The eighth giant, the giant father Thar, sat there with a conspicuously large body, almost taking up three seats.

The ninth demi-human race sent a representative who was an unfamiliar face, but was certainly a high-ranking official.

The tenth demon race consisted of the Demon Emperor Abaddon and the Demon Lord Rakshasa.

Following them were Leonas of the Holy Elf race (11th), Liana of the Night Elf race (12th), Ji Cangyuan of the Sea Clan (13th)... Lion King Lion Thunder (17th), Shadow Lan of the Shadow Clan (18th), Su Yanling of the Spirit Demon Clan (46th), and Gom of the Dwarf Clan (50th). Almost all the representatives of the top 100 races were present.

Ye Bing sat in her seat, arms crossed, surveying the grand scene. She thought to herself, 'My company's informants say Sima Qing is back... He clearly knows this meeting is aimed at him, and I thought he'd at least call a board meeting to discuss it, but there's been absolutely no movement... I really can't figure out what he's up to...'

Just then, the doors to the conference hall slowly opened. Ye Ge appeared at the entrance, walking at the front, followed by the human empress Long Ying, as well as Gao Shenxue, Xia Xiyao, and Bai Xueling.

Yege's official status among the human race is merely that of a duke, yet even the human empress is currently following behind him. Of course, no one would object to this; Yege's strength and prestige are beyond question. Almost everyone among the myriad races knows who brought the human race from 93rd place to where it is today. Moreover, rumors have long circulated that Yege and the human empress are having an affair.

Now it seems that this can be basically verified. Otherwise, if they didn't have a very good relationship, why would Long Ying, as the empress, willingly follow behind a minister of her own court?

"Everyone," Ye Ge smiled slightly, his gaze sweeping across the room, "it seems everyone is here."
