Chapter 9 Devastating Victory
puff!
Chen Tao spat all his coffee onto the screen and then banged his head against the car ceiling.
He realized a terrible and horrifying truth: this was the real world, and Bane wouldn't be like a boss in an online game, obediently waiting in a cave for a hero to farm equipment, level up, collect companions, and finally attack him.
If the time traveler Chen Tao changed Batman's behavior patterns and methods, then it would be only natural for Bane to make corresponding adjustments.
As the mastermind behind the Arkham Escape, Bane's plan was essentially to exhaust Batman by using the escaped lunatics, then wait for him to tire himself out. However, with Chen Tao's time travel, the "exhausting Batman plan" failed.
Bruce Wayne's insatiable desire to save the innocent weighed him down, so much so that even though he saw through Bane's plan, he still had to expend his energy dealing with all sorts of lunatics.
And what about Chen Tao?
Chen Tao doesn't care at all about a bunch of lunatics having a party in his city.
Ring ring ring!
The alarm bells blared inside a bank in Gotham.
A group of people screamed and fled from the front door, followed closely by the clown and his henchmen carrying large bags of cash.
Gotham's crime prince laughed wildly as he opened his arms wide at the gate.
"Hahaha! Come on, bats! Party time!"
no one.
"Bat? Batman?"
The streets were deserted; not a single police car could be seen.
A gust of wind blew by and swished a flyer across the clown's face. It read: Cast your sacred vote for Mayor Caro!
The clown stroked his chin.
"Hey everyone, I suddenly had an idea. Haha, haha, hahahahahahaha!"
The scene cuts back to Chen Tao.
Someone as intelligent as Bane could not possibly ignore Batman's changes and the mercenaries who suddenly appeared in the city.
Perhaps Bane didn't even know whether these mercenaries were friend or foe, or perhaps he guessed something through intuition, but in any case, any destabilizing factor interfering with his relationship with Batman could simply be eliminated by violence.
That's right, that's Bain's way of doing things. The simpler and more brutal it is, the more effective it is.
The most sophisticated battles are often presented in the simplest way. Those who are always thinking about doing fancy tricks will only end up like the killer crocodile.
Therefore, the plan has now changed.
We no longer "wait for Batman to collapse from exhaustion, and then kill him."
But:
"Let's rush over there now, kill the mercenaries first, and then kill Batman."
Special crab gift!
What happened to the rule that villains should let the protagonist develop before finally taking down the protagonist?
Calm down, calm down.
Chen Tao pondered silently.
Bane's decision was more decisive than he had anticipated, but he still had an intelligence error: he believed that Batman was still powerful.
This means that Bane will not launch a decisive battle until he has confirmed and eliminated any disruptors who could put him in a "siege" situation.
In other words, if Death Shooter and his team can turn the tables and kill Bay...
boom!
Then Chen Tao saw that Killer Croc's skull had been dented into the ground by Bane.
Chen Tao immediately picked up the microphone:
"Hold on! Just stay alive!"
"Fuck!"
Cold sweat broke out on the Death Shooter's forehead.
The two submachine guns in his hands and the portable rifle mounted on his arm armor, a total of four guns, wove a powerful firepower net in front of him.
Death Shooter was confident that with his control abilities, not even a fly could fly over.
But now a miracle is happening right before his eyes—it's Bane!
Spinning and leaping, that muscular freak swayed like a butterfly amidst a hail of bullets!
boom!
Death Shooter pulled out an anti-tank rocket launcher, but such a cumbersome weapon posed no threat to the agile Bane at such close range.
"Damn it, if I had..."
His eyes were bloodshot, but he could only watch helplessly as Bane rapidly approached him.
"Help me!!!"
Clang!
Bain's eyes, hidden behind his mask, narrowed slightly.
The Cheshire Cat's slash pierced his skin. The woman's cat-like body, supple yet possessing superhuman strength, unleashed a strike powerful enough to cleave real steel, yet it only managed to scratch Bane, who had been injected with Titan venom.
With a single punch, the Cheshire Cat's blade tore apart as if it were made of paper. Bane spread his five fingers and sent her flying backward like a meteor, crashing into a building.
"hateful!"
The Death Shooter glanced at his teammates on the field.
The Cheshire Cat lies dead in the ruins, the Killer Croc lies on the ground, and the tattooed man...
The tattooed man stood casually to the side, watching his teammates deal damage while shaking his head, "Hey, that's not how you play."
asshole!
Deadshot turned to his teammates and shouted, "Retreat! We can't win..."
"Really? I don't believe it!"
Death Shooter almost couldn't catch his breath.
The slipknot has been used.
He passed the retreating Death Shooter, a slight smile playing on his lips, revealing a set of white teeth and a Mexican-style braid that flew through the air.
In an instant, he threw out more than a dozen lassos, binding Bain's bag like a spider web. He grinned and laughed loudly:
"You bunch of useless trash, it still has to be me! See, I'm not dead!"
"Don't get cocky, watch out!!!"
But the Death Shooter's warning came too late.
Idiot! Why don't you think about how Bane could dodge even his bullets, so how could he not dodge these lassos?
The next second, Bane tore the drug-reinforced lock apart like a straw, then grabbed the rope. Before the slipknot could react, his body was involuntarily pulled and flew close to Bane, then bounced on the ground like a yo-yo.
The Deadshot kept firing, but to no avail. He could hardly believe that Bane could dodge his bullets while simultaneously beating up the slipknot, as nimbly as a young, powerful figure skater.
The tattooed man said, "If there's a knife underneath, I'm already dead!"
"Shut your stinking mouth!"
Slipknot, in a fit of rage, released his lasso and then used a dazzling speed to execute a grappling technique on Bane.
His name is Slipknot, and his fighting techniques are like a lasso—suffocating and deadly.
"I don't believe it! We're all human, you think you can—"
He heard the Death Shooter shouting "Don't do that!" in the distance, but he didn't have time to consider other people's opinions.
He stared intently at Bain. The other man looked completely bewildered, as if he hadn't reacted at all, and the corner of Slipknot's mouth involuntarily curled into a slight smile.
The next second, Bane grabbed his hand and easily tore his body apart like straw, the same action he had taken when he broke the lasso earlier.
Bain, the cure for all the fancy stuff.
"Aaaaaaaahhhhhh!"
The slipknot screamed desperately, then quickly fell silent.
呲!
In fact, the muscles and bones are almost identical to the fibers of the rope, the only difference being that it splashes out a bright red fountain when it breaks. Bain peeled the muddy slipknot off his body and dried it like a rag.
The tattooed man next to him was still chattering: "Wow! That's seriously hot!"
The Death Shooter was furious.
"Don't linger, retreat immediately..."
He heard his employer's instructions coming through his earpiece, but the killer crocodile in the distance had completely lost its mind.
He scrambled to his feet and charged at Bane with a roar.
...but its weaknesses are too great, and it is in poor condition.
Bain grabbed its arm and snapped it like a twig, the killer crocodile's screams were deafening.
"Bain!"
But the killer crocodile did not retreat as it had before.
Its eyes turned red. No, not just the pupils, but the entire iris and the whites of its eyes turned a bright, blood-red color!
"roar!"
He let out a beastly roar that was not human, and Deathshooter almost vaguely felt that his facial features had become more elongated, and more like... a crocodile!
Killer Croc has become even stronger!
The killer crocodile is enraged!
The killer crocodile has gone into overdrive!
His muscles bulged, and he charged toward Bane like a train!
Then he flew back at an even faster speed.
"That's impossible!"
The killer crocodile uttered a defiant voice: "You—"
Before he could finish speaking, he received a physical silence from Bane on the face.
"Enough! How dare you—"
Bain grabbed Killer Croc by the ankle with his bare hands, swung him around in the air, and slammed him hard onto the ground, once, twice, almost like swinging a whack-a-mole plastic hammer.
"I am a killer—"
boom!
"hand--"
boom!
"crocodile--"
boom!
The killer crocodile lay on its back, spread-eagled, its large, clear, vertical pupils gradually losing their luster.
"bed bugs."
A cold, murderous intent flickered across Bane's face. He was growing increasingly annoyed by Killer Croc's repetitive sit-ups, much like Luffy's antics.
So he increased the power of the venom injection. As the venom gurgled in, his muscles swelled up like air, turning him into a small monster nearly three meters tall.
The deadly shooter raised his gun.
"Hurry up and take the killer crocodile with you!" The employer's voice was still babbling in his ear.
"I know, shut up!"
Deathshooter gritted his teeth, then pulled the trigger. Flames erupted, unleashing a storm of metal powerful enough to tear a human to shreds at Bane. This time, Bane didn't even flinch.
This delighted the Death Shooter.
Bang bang bang bang!
Four guns fired simultaneously, dozens of bullets exploding in Bane's chest within seconds. The Deadshot saw white smoke rise from the bullet impact points, and then...
A white and reddish-white dent remained, with some blood seeping out.
"Fuck!"
Deadshot cursed, "Is this even human?!"
He was already considering resigning.
But just then, he saw the tattooed man stand in front of them:
"You bunch of useless trash, get out of the way! The tattooed guy will handle everything!"
Death Shooter gave a strange look.
