Chapter 455 The Anti-Surveillance Agent: I'm Here to Negotiate
Chapter 455 The Anti-Surveillance Agent: I'm Here to Negotiate
Chapter 455 Anti-Surveillance Agent, I'm Here to Negotiate (5400-word long chapter)
I am the anti-surveillancer, the essence of the mortal Möbius reborn in the dark multiverse.
I am a timeline error. The history of a supreme god who once fell to earth was so easily erased from the history of the DC universe. No one will care, no one will remember, but now is the perfect time.
The Anti-Monitor has not yet been reborn... and the World Builder is dead.
Barbatos, the Dark Multiverse Dragon who usurped the authority of the World Forger, does not understand the power of the World Forger. This is my chance, and perhaps my only chance:
Substituting one thing for another.
The Anti-Monitor faced Batman, but his gaze pierced through him, reaching the Earth, which Batman protected within the bottle inside his body.
On Earth.
The Justice League is ready to go.
"Take this, everyone."
Lex Luthor handed a device resembling an octopus-like insect to each member of the Justice League: "This thing will allow you to help Batman recharge without being in the battery compartment."
Luther said, "Don't wear it around your neck. This thing is very tough; it's essentially a node for transmitting the Speed Force, not a machine that becomes unusable with the slightest broken part. It can still be used even if a part of it is destroyed, but only if it can't withstand a full-scale, direct attack, even if those attacks are 'mild' for you superhumans."
"And you, Lex?" Wonder Woman carried the thing on her back, while Clark stood beside her.
She noticed that Lex Luthor was clearly not wearing his shiny green heavy armor, but was still dressed in civilian clothes.
Diana turned slightly to the side and saw that Poison Ivy, the experimental subject, had also been pulled out, along with the entire Rogues, but she didn't see Bane anywhere.
"I have other things to do..." Luther said.
The Counter-Monitor doesn't know what Luthor is up to, but he'll definitely be keeping a close eye on him. But this could also be a delaying tactic by Batman...who knows?
But the only thing I know is...
All of this was to no avail.
……
……
……
"Our strategic objective is to suppress counter-surveillance agents."
Chen Tao stood there, his mind transmitting a message via radio to everyone in the Justice League: "Our battle will be broadcast live to the public."
As the light shrank, Chen Tao released the entire Justice League.
Wonder Woman Diana, Martian Manhunter, Superman Clark Kent, The Flash, and even Shazam! and the Rogues...
More and more people appeared on the battlefield, surrounding the stationary counter-surveillance personnel.
Origin Wall.
Bored out of his mind, the Supreme Little Superman lowered his head. He had no concept of sleeping on the Origin Wall. He could only stare at the vast and boundless starry sky in front of him day after day, or deliberately quiet his mind and let the Origin Wall devour his thoughts.
But today is a little different...
Supreme Superman looked up and saw a portal open in the void not far away. Supreme Superman's eyes immediately turned red:
"Damn Batman, I'm going to kill you—"
"No, no, no... It's not Batman. To be honest, I really wish you would have paid a little attention to who it was before you started swearing."
A bald head, resembling a hard-boiled egg, emerged from the portal leading from the Eternal Vault to the Origin Wall. Lex Luthor, clad in green armor, slowly flew towards Superman Supreme.
"What, it's Luther... though I don't think you're the one I know."
(Note: Here, "Superman Supreme" refers to Alexander Luthor Jr., the villain who, along with him, triggered the events of "Infinite Crisis." Note that this person shares the same name as Alexander Luthor ("Zanza the Thunder"), but they are not the same person!)
He looked at the other person with a mocking gaze: "I remember that the losers in your universe have become Batman's henchmen. How interesting. If the losers I know knew this, they would laugh their heads off."
Then he narrowed his eyes and said, "But it doesn't matter. One day I will kill you all."
Luther remained silent. Batman had once taught him not to waste words with Superman Supreme, because even though Superman Supreme possessed immense power, the word "Supreme" itself revealed what kind of person he was.
The more you refute Superman, the more he will stick to his own beliefs, which will have the opposite effect.
So Luther remained silent.
He flew to the Supreme Superman, and then the camera on his chest armor lifted up, creating a 3D image in front of the Supreme Superman.
This armor was made with Batman's help and incorporates some of the magical power of the Metal Spirit, allowing Luthor to broadcast the Justice League's current movements in real time, even across vast distances.
"The Justice League is fighting invaders to protect the world. They are heroes, Superman Supreme. Batman sent me here to make you understand this."
"So what?" said Superman Supreme. "You bunch of morally corrupt villains who call yourselves heroes, you were just doing what normal heroes do, and you're actually proud of it???"
The Supreme Superman felt insulted and flew into a rage: "You think you can fool me like this? You think...?"
But Superman's words suddenly stopped.
Because he heard Luther say:
"The Justice League's enemy is the Anti-Surveillance."
"...And as far as we know, the Anti-Monitors are the culprits who destroyed your home planet, Primordial Earth, right?"
"Didn't you ever think about revenge?"
"That's what Luther said. And not far from Luther, in a spatial rift that had been opened to hide, Atositas was quietly listening to their conversation.
……
……
……
"Step back and watch my light show! Green Lantern will solve everything!"
Hal Jordan, the Green Lantern, stared with dead fish eyes as he heard Shazam of the Thunder utter lines he had once spoken. Then, his little mouth started babbling out onomatopoeic sounds like "bang bang bang," sounds that were only made after being hit.
The battle broke out in an instant.
Batman, a veteran of countless battles, took the lead, and having decided to take action, he had no intention of holding back.
The silver-white particles refreshed the Green Lantern Batman and instantly enveloped his body. Then, Chen Tao took out a small bottle, inside which was a shrunken version of the Green Lantern's central energy battery.
If the little blue guys were still around... well, now the Yellow-Green Light Corps is practically a one-man show by Arlene Sue and Hal, so let's skip that.
"Ugh...you...you're not qualified to be Ion Man—"
Without further ado, Chen Tao unleashed a barrage of green chains from his ring. The little blue people themselves were experts at forcing tailed beasts, and Chen Tao forcibly read the brains of the few remaining little blue people, learning from them. Forcing tailed beasts was something that could be done with practice.
"I don't care if you're qualified or not, come here now—"
"Aaaaaaahh ...
Chen Tao inserted his small body into the ion shark's body. With a tremor and a loud roar from the great shark, it quickly became listless.

[Warning, suggestion...]
Please keep...
With a snap, Chen Tao pulled his body out of the ion shark's body and then inserted it back in. This long string of text on his retina refreshed again, and the one-minute timer started again.
Although Chen Tao had tried ignoring the Alfred Protocol's silver-white text on his retina and keeping the forced lamp beast active for more than a minute without anything happening, he preferred to avoid potential problems by taking the extra effort.
In this state, Chen Tao's body instantly sprouted incredibly ferocious bone spurs.
Chen Tao, transformed into the Destroyer, charged headlong into the Anti-Monitor's massive body. Wonder Woman Diana followed closely behind, throwing her lasso, while Superman's eyes shot out red lasers. The three giants' attacks surrounded the Anti-Monitor almost instantly.
"It's nostalgic," the anti-surveillance activist said.
Then he stretched out a hand to block the bone spikes that Batman was charging at him with. This action carried him away with tremendous kinetic energy, pushing him backward like a plow on Quad, his feet sinking deep into the ground, and countless pieces of soil and rocks cracking open like tofu.
He used his head to block Superman's heat vision, and then grabbed Wonder Woman's sword with his other hand.
The blade, sharp enough to slice through molecules, didn't even leave a white mark on his hand. Amid Wonder Woman's furious roar, the Anti-Monitor tried to snatch her sword but failed. So he grabbed Wonder Woman along with her and swung her around, lifting her high and then slamming her down on Superman. Immediately afterward, he stretched out his foot and kicked Batman in the body...
Huh?
The anti-monitor was taken aback because his foot didn't hit Batman; instead, it was stepping back.
His body moved forward, and the earth that had been plowed and cracked by his feet was repaired. He saw Wonder Woman, whom he had swung up and smashed into Superman, fly up backward. She grabbed the hilt of her sword and was then carried by the sword, returning the blade to the Anti-Monitor's palm. Then the Anti-Monitor released her sword as if a videotape was being played in reverse.
"What???"
The anti-monitor turned his head and saw that the Flash was running at high speed not far away, throwing strands of golden Speed Force at Batman.
"How did you do that—?"
"Diana, crouch down!"
Wonder Woman had just swung her sword at the Anti-Monitor when she heard Batman yelling at her.
She instinctively obeyed Batman's command, and the Anti-Monitor's hand, which was reaching for her sword, immediately grasped nothing.
Diana ducked, slid down, and used her shield on the ground as a cushion to slide past the Anti-Monitor's arm, then thrust her sword into his armpit.
"Ugh—"
The sword failed to pierce the Anti-Monitor's defenses, but the immense power carried by the sword disrupted the Anti-Monitor's balance. He tilted his body slightly, and then his eyes made intimate contact with Superman's heat vision.
Amidst the deafening explosion and intense flames, Shazam, who was right behind him, clasped his hands together.
A violent burst of magical lightning, mixed with Captain Cold's frost and the superpowers of the other members of the Rogues, struck Anti-Monitor directly in the chest. Anti-Monitor was sent flying backward, tracing an arc in the air and leaving a long trail on the ground of Quad, even tumbling violently.
Captain Cold immediately followed, his hands emitting icy air that instantly froze the surveillance team into an ice sculpture.
"Yay!" Shazam raised his hands and shouted, "We defeated the Anti-Monitor like it was Kil'jaeden in World of Warcraft! It was as easy as using a cheat code!"
Then, the teenage Billy Batson suddenly realized something was wrong: "Hey, isn't this a little off, buddy?"
He looked around: "Isn't anyone going to help me answer this question?"
"What... what happened? We defeated the anti-monitor in one strike?"
Captain Han himself could hardly believe what he had done. He took two steps back and said, "Isn't this a bit—"
However, before he could finish speaking, Captain Cold's hair stood on end. In an instant, the ice shattered, and in the blink of an eye, he saw the Anti-Monitor appear in front of him, face to face.
A massive amount of ice gushed out from the body of the gang leader in an instant. The temperature just around Captain Cold plummeted to below -194 degrees Celsius.
In an instant, the atmosphere around Captain Cold turned into a light blue liquid. At such extremely low temperatures, if a pear were placed in this liquid air, it would become as brittle as glass.
But this does not stop attacks from counter-surveillance agents.
In that split second, Superman Clark Kent lunged at the Anti-Monitor from behind, trying to stop the attack. However, in an instant, the Anti-Monitor pulled him off his back with one hand and slammed him to the ground.
The other hand slammed heavily on Captain Cold's head.
In an instant, Captain Cold's head and upper body exploded, countless pieces of flesh bursting apart like a shower of petals, however...
"Damn it, what did you do?" The anti-surveillance agent felt it even more clearly this time.
The golden Speed Force was pushing reality backward. Captain Cold, whose upper body had been blown apart like a firecracker by his punch and who was already beyond dead, reassembled his physical body. Countless pieces of flesh that had flown out returned along the same path and pieced together Captain Cold's human form again on the spot.
The anti-monitor was forced to stagger backward several steps by the reality enveloped by the golden speed force, but he suddenly exerted his strength and actually managed to stop reality from retreating.
The timeline seemed to sense the anti-surveillance rejection and thus stopped as well.
The Anti-Monitor immediately continued his previous actions, lunging at Captain Cold. However, Captain Cold had already heard Batman's order over the comms. Although his reaction speed was nowhere near that of the Anti-Monitor, he still unleashed his cold energy, shooting a blast of freezing cold air upwards that struck the Anti-Monitor squarely in the face, delaying the Anti-Monitor's attack by half a second.
Instantly, Superman pounced on the Anti-Monitor's back, his eyes blazing with heat vision. Then, he used his head as a headbutt, slamming it hard against the back of the Anti-Monitor's head. Martian Manhunter transformed into an alien creature that resembled a swimming dragon, quickly swimming up the Anti-Monitor's body and binding him tightly.
The anti-surveillance man staggered back two steps, shaking off the ice shards from his face with just a couple of flicks.
"Interesting, very interesting."
"What the hell, boss! Your speed, your reaction time, and your accuracy are incredible!" the magician exclaimed. "Why weren't you this good when we were dealing with the Flash?"
"No, it wasn't me who realized it," Captain Cold said, somewhat confused. "It was... Batman who warned me via communication beforehand."
The anti-surveillance agent was about to say something to Batman, but quickly turned away: "Sigh, Amazon."
Wonder Woman used her Lasso of Truth to lasso one of the Anti-Monitor's arms. She wrapped the lasso around her forearm and pulled back sharply, but was pulled forward and staggered.
The anti-surveillance advocate said:
"Your noose forced me to tell the truth: I'm enjoying this moment more than I thought."
He yanked the rope sharply, and Wonder Woman was immediately pulled into the air.
Captain Cold immediately rushed forward to provide support, but Batman charged ahead instead.
Captain Cold watched helplessly as a beam of white light shot out from the Anti-Monitor's hand. It was the power of the Anti-Life Equation belonging to the Anti-Monitor. Batman seemed to have anticipated this and turned to the side, easily dodging the impact of this deadly attack.
The Anti-Monitor threw a punch at the trajectory Batman might take, but for some reason Batman suddenly grabbed the weakest point of his arm and pulled him off balance.
Batman then dodged the white light from the Anti-Life Equation once again, stepped on the Anti-Monitor's face, and deftly caught Diana from mid-air, who was about to be swung around and smashed to the ground. He then carried her to the ground in a princess carry.
"It's astonishing...you're toying with time in this single universe...you're using constant reboots to stop me."
The Anti-Monitor stopped attacking the group and watched as Wonder Woman jumped off Batman as if bitten by a snake.
"But you are not strong enough to resist a single universe."
Chen Tao said:
"Otherwise, this level of time restart shouldn't have worked on you. If you could withstand this timeline restart, you should have been able to force your way through the time rewind and kill my teammates."
The anti-monitor remained silent, unable to answer, because what Batman said was indeed true, and he couldn't deny it, but he immediately added:
"You have unprecedentedly combined the Speed Force's ability to reverse time with the Ion Shark's power to control time and space."
The Speed Force helps you manipulate an entire single universe, while the Ion Shark's time control ability serves as the control panel.
"That was beautifully done. Now you can turn back time to any place, and it's irresistible to me."
The Anti-Monitor said, "You must have some form of control over the Speed Force, but countless time restarts have caused us to lose the memory of your mastery of the Speed Force!"
"Wait, something's not right." The anti-monitor suddenly interrupted itself again: "You couldn't have altered my memories, so what's going on?"
"Anti-surveillance agents, I'm here to negotiate."
They were then abruptly silent for a few seconds, before Captain Cold heard Batman say, "I hope you leave my universe and never invade us again."
Captain Cold: ?
The rest of the Justice League looked at each other in bewilderment.
What's going on? Has Batman suddenly gone mad?
