It has been increasingly recognised that the existing literature on any subject always provide a feedback and a base for future research needs. The present volume of bibliography contains a classification of all important contributions to the study of fisheries development and management in India which have been published since the 18th century. It brings together material, both published and unpublished, including doctoral thesis, books, journal articles and discussion and seminar papers. The literature has been classified into several categories on the basis of the thematic content of different contributions.
